Botox® Treatments in Victoria, TX

Since opening its doors in Victoria, TX, the flagship Fountain of Youth MedSpa, has become known as a premier location for Botox® & Dysport® treatments and for overall quality skin care.

About Botox® Cosmetic & Dysport®

Botox® Cosmetic & Dysport® are non-surgical cosmetic treatments composed of botullium toxin, and are both used for the temporary relief of fine lines and wrinkles. However, Botox is by far the more popular of the two. They both treat the wrinkle producing muscles in order to reduce fine lines between the eyebrows, across the forehead, and around the eyes (crow’s feet). When these muscles are relaxed, they appear less deep. Both products are FDA approved.

How quickly do Botox® and Dysport® work, and how long will the results last?

Most patients can expect to see results from their Botox and Dysport injections about 2-3 days after treatment, but final results can take up to one week. The effects last an average of 4 to 6 months. Once the muscles have been habitually injected, you will require fewer injections to maintain the results. The injectors at Fountain of Youth MedSpa have the experience and training required to expertly deliver Botox & Dysport injections.

How long do Botox® & Dysport® injections take?

The injections take about 10 to 15 minutes, and there is no downtime. Patients can return to regular activities immediately after treatment.

Are Botox® or Dysport® injections painful?

If done correctly, there should be very little pain with Botox® and Dysport® injections. Very small needles are used, therefore any discomfort will be minimal and very brief. However, a local anesthetic cream can be applied to the area if necessary.

Best candidates for Botox® & Dysport®

These injections are ideally for people between the ages of 18 to 65, who desire to improve the appearance of wrinkles and facial lines. In addition, they should be looking for a non-surgical temporary solution, and be aware of what Botox and Dysport are capable of doing. These treatments are not recommended for pregnant or nursing women.

Can other cosmetic treatments be combined with Botox® & Dysport® ?

Botox and Dysport are able to smooth fine lines and wrinkles, but they do not create facial fullness. That’s a job for dermal fillers such as Juvederm, Radiesse, and Restylane. These fillers are able to combat the deflation, and loss of volume that often occurs as part of facial aging. They are able to plump up depressions and fine lines and create an appearance of fullness.

At Texas Medical & Wellness Clinic, we create a personalized program that is designed to successfully combat the different aspects of facial aging. Therefore, we may recommend Botox treatment in conjunction with dermal fillers, as well as laser skin resurfacing, chemical peels, or spa facials.
